Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) In the 5th play minute Eşqin Ağacanov came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mohammad Hasan. 1-0. 8 minutes into the match, Maya Angelou Birds's goalkeeper Mohammad Hasan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eşqin Ağacanov. With a little luck, Maya Angelou Birds's Mohammad Hasan got control of the ball when Bent Raison tried to sneak it across the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Arron Conlon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Feruz Abbasäliyev was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Qarabag CF's zone, Michael Noble stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Feruz Abbasäliyev came out of the goal and Michael Noble tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mohammad Hasan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eşqin Ağacanov in the 24th minute of the match. Eşqin Ağacanov might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mohammad Hasan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eşqin Ağacanov ran back to his position shaking his head. Maya Angelou Birds's Mohammad Hasan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Müşfiq Qäribov in the 28th minute of play. Mohammad Hasan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ağam Tähmäzov in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute Müşfiq Qäribov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mohammad Hasan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Qarabag CF's goal looked a bit too open when Rory McCarthy came free, but Feruz Abbasäliyev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Qarabag CF's zone, Nicholas Perrin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Feruz Abbasäliyev came out of the goal and Nicholas Perrin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Maya Angelou Birds's Rory McCarthy in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Qarabag CF's goalie prevented a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Qarabag CF made a substitution. Ilkin Lätifov replaced Ağam Tähmäzov. In the 53rd minute, Rory McCarthy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Feruz Abbasäliyev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rory McCarthy in the 58th minute of play. The supporters of Maya Angelou Birds booed when Qarabag CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ilkin Lätifov didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arron Conlon during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 63rd match minute, Maya Angelou Birds was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arron Conlon to maneuver through the defense. Feruz Abbasäliyev was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rory McCarthy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicholas Perrin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Feruz Abbasäliyev having to make a save. Maya Angelou Birds's Rory McCarthy got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rory McCarthy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Feruz Abbasäliyev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rory McCarthy might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Feruz Abbasäliyev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rory McCarthy ran back to his position shaking his head. Mohammad Hasan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eşqin Ağacanov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 101st minute Ilkin Lätifov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mohammad Hasan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Maya Angelou Birds players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
