The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Izel in the 5th minute of play forced Kanalla F.C's goalkeeper Alonso Suloaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute of the match, Teo Canor tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Valentin Porfiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A hard shot 12 in the game by Martín Cardetti from a close distance when the talented Valentin Porfiro managed to make a qualified save. La Scaloneta's players were relieved. Kanalla F.C's Ntinos Mandalenakis quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Fermin Guerrero, made in the 14th minute of the game. Martín Cardetti might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valentin Porfiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martín Cardetti ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martín Cardetti got free with Valentin Porfiro in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Martín Cardetti struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Valentin Porfiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kanalla F.C. After 21 played minutes Kanalla F.C got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Lugo. When Vinícius Junior fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Scaloneta's protests and gave Vinícius Junior a yellow card for diving instead. Vinícius Junior kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Alonso Suloaga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilberto Izel's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Valentin Porfiro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Martín Cardetti showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 47 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gilberto Izel was the one to do the kick off. Fermin Guerrero's late challenge caught a Kanalla F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fermin Guerrero helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Kanalla F.C booed when La Scaloneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fermin Guerrero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alonso Suloaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Rozarius, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Martín Cardetti scored 2-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valentin Porfiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gilberto Izel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Alonso Suloaga made a huge save. In the 73rd minute, Enrique Rozarius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valentin Porfiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Claude in the 74th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enrique Rozarius during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th match minute, La Scaloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Rozarius to maneuver through the defense. Freddy Cidro hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Valentin Porfiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgardo Claude in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valentin Porfiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ntinos Mandalenakis kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Gilberto Izel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonso Suloaga having to interfere. La Scaloneta's Valentin Porfiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Claude in the 93rd minute of play. Damian Eduino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kanalla F.C were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of La Scaloneta for a fine match.
