Azerbaijan's Mänsur Rzayev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Matteo in the 9th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aqil Mövsümov got free with Marcial Licerio in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mänsur Rzayev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Matteo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pingos Futbol Club's Marcial Licerio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Pingos Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. Marcial Licerio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şair Baloğlanov in the 20th minute of play. After 24 played minutes Pingos Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Javier Cefero. Azerbaijan's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gündüz Haqverdiyev in the 26th minute. Azerbaijan's Mänsur Rzayev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Martinez in the 28th minute of play. Marcial Licerio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aqil Mövsümov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ariel Martinez took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mänsur Rzayev. Mänsur Rzayev dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Mänsur Rzayev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ariel Martinez in the 42nd minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Azerbaijan's goal looked a bit too open when Pascual Ferrer came free, but Mänsur Rzayev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Azerbaijan's Mänsur Rzayev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Matteo in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ariel Martinez to make the kick off. With a little luck, Azerbaijan's Mänsur Rzayev got control of the ball when Ariel Martinez tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 75th minute Şair Baloğlanov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Licerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pingos Futbol Club's Arsenio Laffitte was substituted for Clemente Matteo. In the 82nd minute, Azerbaijan's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Arsenio Laffitte fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With an all-out effort, Pingos Futbol Club's Mänsur Rzayev threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Arsenio Laffitte, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 85 played minutes Azerbaijan got a freekick which was hit by Şair Baloğlanov. Rogelio Ezkerra struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Mänsur Rzayev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pingos Futbol Club. An unexpectedly hard shot by Häsrät Azamämmädov in the 87th minute of play forced Pingos Futbol Club's goalkeeper Marcial Licerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mikayıl Malişov charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mikayıl Malişov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Azerbaijan's Mikayıl Malişov got a free kick in the 90th minute. Rogelio Ezkerra scored 0-2 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mänsur Rzayev, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pingos Futbol Club's Rogelio Ezkerra got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Azerbaijan's goalkeeper Mänsur Rzayev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pingos Futbol Club's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
