Okan Akdoğan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rory McCarthy, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rory McCarthy in the 5th minute of play forced ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's goalkeeper Okan Akdoğan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rory McCarthy in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Okan Akdoğan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18th minute Rory McCarthy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Okan Akdoğan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maya Angelou Birds were furious when Michael Reed was red carded, 22 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Maya Angelou Birds fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 24 minutes, ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's Erkan Başok got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Mohammad Hasan. Alican Sungurbay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Mohammad Hasan made a huge save. Alican Sungurbay took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mohammad Hasan. Mohammad Hasan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Mohammad Hasan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hadi Güdeş showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 36 minute of play. The supporters of Maya Angelou Birds booed when ESKİŞEHİRSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bican Durualp didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th match minute, ESKİŞEHİRSPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erkan Başok to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

After a rather tough play, Maya Angelou Birds's Nicholas Perrin got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 54th minute Hadi Güdeş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mohammad Hasan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Rory McCarthy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Okan Akdoğan was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hadi Güdeş in the 67th minute of play forced Maya Angelou Birds's goalkeeper Mohammad Hasan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicholas Perrin was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 70th minute. Maya Angelou Birds's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Okan Akdoğan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 77th minute of the match Maya Angelou Birds got a corner. ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arron Conlon ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in David Cooke almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's Okan Akdoğan did a great save. 79 minutes into the match, Bican Durualp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mohammad Hasan. Maya Angelou Birds's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bican Durualp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Arron Conlon kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match.
