Andorra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Froilan Reyes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Andorra's Caleb Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froilan Reyes in the 23rd minute of play. Kris Golding made in the 28th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Larry Hallam however managed to control. After a defensive mix-up in Spain's zone, Michael Roebuck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robert Bresson came out of the goal and Michael Roebuck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Larry Hallam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Robert Bresson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillem Agulló, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

The wind increased when Guillem Agulló made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Froilan Reyes in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caleb Barrett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A well-hit corner resulted in Edorta Portillo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Froilan Reyes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Caleb Barrett having to make a save. 74 minutes into the match, Spain's Froilan Reyes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Caleb Barrett narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Spain's Froilan Reyes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Caleb Barrett. That made the score 0-2 after 79 minutes of play. Caleb Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Froilan Reyes in the 81st minute of play. After 83 played minutes Andorra got a freekick which was hit by Kris Golding. 86 minutes into the match, Froilan Reyes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Caleb Barrett, 0-3. Kris Golding hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The Spain supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Spain would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
