The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Ezkerra in the 7th minute of play forced MILLONARIOS FC's goalkeeper Angelo Prior to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute, Jeremias Ezkerra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academia 1903 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 10th minute Timoteo Columbo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Prior saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14thth minute of the game Timoteo Columbo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MILLONARIOS FC's Angelo Prior was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. MILLONARIOS FC's Angelo Prior played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timoteo Columbo in the 17th minute of play. Angelo Prior showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timoteo Columbo in the 20th minute of the match. After 25 minutes of play, MILLONARIOS FC's Christoffer Blomqvist made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hélio Mangueira was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 29thth minute of the game Timoteo Columbo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MILLONARIOS FC's Angelo Prior was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Timoteo Columbo kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Christoffer Blomqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélio Mangueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 46 played minutes Academia 1903 got a freekick which was hit by Lucien de Neutere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Timoteo Columbo made the kick off in the second half. Leonel Cantera hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 52 minutes into the match, MILLONARIOS FC's goalkeeper Angelo Prior had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Timoteo Columbo. Hélio Mangueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theo Musseeuw in the 67th minute of the match. After 72 minutes MILLONARIOS FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gérard Magyar who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Academia 1903's Gérard Magyar to fire away a dangerous shot which Angelo Prior despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, MILLONARIOS FC's goalkeeper Angelo Prior had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicanor Morenø. Academia 1903's Benjamin Myhr quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Theo Hernández, made in the 80th minute of the game. Hélio Mangueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Jauregui, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. A sloppy throw-in by Theo Hernández in the 83rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Academia 1903's Rafael Jaume. Angelo Prior made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Nicanor Morenø sent off a good shot on target. MILLONARIOS FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
