Timoteo Columbo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dida Martins read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Academia 1903's goalkeeper Hélio Mangueira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gordon Harkin. Dida Martins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timoteo Columbo, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The corner led Academia 1903's Timoteo Columbo to fire away a dangerous shot which Dida Martins despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jeremias Ezkerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Timoteo Columbo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dida Martins having to interfere. Dida Martins came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Academia 1903's Timoteo Columbo. But to his dismay, Timoteo Columbo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Academia 1903's zone, Gordon Harkin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hélio Mangueira came out of the goal and Gordon Harkin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Academia 1903 booed when Hoberg United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Rui didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute Harald Ek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 43 played minutes Hoberg United got a freekick which was hit by Jaroslaw Teofila. 45 minutes into the match, Academia 1903's goal looked a bit too open when Gordon Harkin came free, but Hélio Mangueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute Timoteo Columbo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Hélio Mangueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gordon Harkin in the 55th minute of play. After 56 played minutes Academia 1903 got a freekick which was hit by Pastor Elequemedo. Academia 1903 made a substitution. Nicanor Morenø replaced Timoteo Columbo. Pastor Elequemedo kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After 58 played minutes Academia 1903 got a freekick which was hit by Pastor Elequemedo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danny Grønnow in the 59th minute of play forced Academia 1903's goalkeeper Hélio Mangueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dida Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicanor Morenø in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute Gordon Harkin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélio Mangueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes in the game Danny Grønnow did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Witomir Jestrimski. 71 minutes into the match, Nicanor Morenø dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dida Martins, 0-2. Gordon Harkin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hélio Mangueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gordon Harkin in the 76th minute of play. Academia 1903's Hélio Mangueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gordon Harkin in the 77th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Gordon Harkin made a precise shot to the right of Hélio Mangueira. Academia 1903's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Nicanor Morenø sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nicanor Morenø who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Dida Martins when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Gordon Harkin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hélio Mangueira was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. In the 92nd match minute, Hoberg United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cintya Palacios to maneuver through the defense.
