Noel Alcântara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Richard Mendes's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Dr Lecter SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Thiago Rossi in the 6th minute. In the 8th minute, SLB TELHA's Valério Vilaça dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Mendes in the 10th minute of play forced SLB TELHA's goalkeeper Noel Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Noel Alcântara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Valério Vilaça's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Celso Trevisan was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Dr Lecter SC defense, Adelino Manso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celso Trevisan. The Dr Lecter SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celso Trevisan should have stopped the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valério Vilaça to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Valério Vilaça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Trevisan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Dr Lecter SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SLB TELHA.
