The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabrício Lopes got free with Eduardo Atila in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eduardo Atila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervásio Severiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Enzo Pellecchia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 30th minute, Gervásio Severiano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VB-Team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Elohay Elohim אלוהי אלוה's Eduardo Atila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu Bessa in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Elohay Elohim אלוהי אלוה's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luís Braga was slow to take the kick. During this time VB-Team's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Luís Braga almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Elohay Elohim אלוהי אלוה's Eduardo Atila did a great save. The crowd rose to their feet as VB-Team's Fabrício Lopes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eduardo Atila. That made the score 2-0 after 39 minutes of play. Eduardo Atila stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gervásio Severiano's shot from short distance in the 44th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baldomiro Cloyo to make the kick off. Eduardo Atila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervásio Severiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute.
