Flames FC's Tao Xi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Flames FC from getting a goal against them. Flames FC's Tao Xi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olimpiu Dragnea in the 7th minute of play. Benjamin Cuss didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Camille Trudeau went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 12 minutes into the game, Carlton Norman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Goo Goo Dolls's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flames FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Goo Goo Dolls's Carlton Norman got a free kick in the 12th minute. Benjamin Cuss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alican İçten in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Goo Goo Dolls's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. João Vítor de Lima was slow to take the kick. During this time Flames FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Luizinho Paraíba almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Goo Goo Dolls's Benjamin Cuss did a great save. In the 17th match minute, Goo Goo Dolls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlton Norman to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the match, Alican İçten notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Goo Goo Dolls's Benjamin Cuss. Benjamin Cuss was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 26th minute, Olimpiu Dragnea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Goo Goo Dolls fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Benjamin Cuss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alican İçten in the 29th minute of play. Benjamin Cuss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alican İçten in the 31st minute of the match. Camron Clapham hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute Diego Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Cuss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benjamin Cuss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camille Trudeau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamin Cuss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alican İçten in the 41st minute of play. In the 45th minute, Alican İçten left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flames FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olimpiu Dragnea to make the kick off. Benjamin Cuss was a little too slow when Alican İçten got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 1-4. In the 62nd minute Alican İçten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Cuss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Goo Goo Dolls's zone, Alican İçten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamin Cuss came out of the goal and Alican İçten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute, Alican İçten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benjamin Cuss was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. 70 minutes into the game, Camron Clapham threw the ball into play from the sideline. Flames FC's Camille Trudeau quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Camille Trudeau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Cuss having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Flames FC's Benjamin Cuss threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gilberto Stafford, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Goo Goo Dolls's Matteo Gillis got a free kick in the 81st minute. Diego Lopes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Benjamin Cuss made a huge save. After 85 played minutes Flames FC got a freekick which was hit by Rosario Moyer. Olimpiu Dragnea struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Tao Xi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goo Goo Dolls. Benjamin Cuss was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Camille Trudeau capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Camille Trudeau really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. Flames FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
