Dan Apopei blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ladislav Lomnický having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Olimpiu Dragnea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ladislav Lomnický was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olimpiu Dragnea in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ladislav Lomnický saved UFC Pivnica from getting behind. 18 minutes into the match, Goo Goo Dolls's goalkeeper Benjamin Cuss had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stanislav Záruba. Benjamin Cuss made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Stanislav Záruba sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th play minute Stanislav Záruba came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Benjamin Cuss. 1-0. Ladislav Lomnický took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olimpiu Dragnea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 44 minutes UFC Pivnica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dan Apopei who took care of the corner kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olimpiu Dragnea made a kick off. Goo Goo Dolls's Benjamin Cuss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Kasarda in the 51st minute of play. With a little luck, UFC Pivnica's Ladislav Lomnický got control of the ball when Olimpiu Dragnea tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 58 minutes, Stanislav Záruba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UFC Pivnica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stanislav Záruba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd minute Viktor Kasarda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Cuss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Goo Goo Dolls's Benjamin Cuss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Kasarda in the 68th minute of play. Viktor Kasarda struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Benjamin Cuss didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UFC Pivnica. Ladislav Lomnický made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olimpiu Dragnea in the 77th minute of play. The corner went over the outstretched arms of UFC Pivnica's goalie and right to Carlton Norman. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. UFC Pivnica's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 80th minute, Viktor Kasarda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Martin Višňovský had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. UFC Pivnica's Ladislav Lomnický played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlton Norman in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Tomáš Mišík hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dan Apopei got in the 95th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Ladislav Lomnický. This was a shot which ended in a score of 1-1.
