Carlos Ornelas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Opilano in the 7th minute. Hermenegildo Ferraz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s Carlos Ornelas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C. from getting a goal against them. Everardo Francho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvano Ponte in the 15th minute of the match. Paulo Opilano took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Ornelas. Carlos Ornelas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 20 minutes into the game, Egídio Mesquita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Hornos the free kick. Egídio Mesquita hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Maurício Moita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s zone, Florentino Elivareo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Ornelas came out of the goal and Florentino Elivareo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hermenegildo Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Everardo Francho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvano Ponte in the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Egídio Mesquita suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 32 minutes into the game, Florentino Elivareo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Hornos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C. the free kick. QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C. made a substitution. Yuri Sequeira replaced Egídio Mesquita. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zarco Guerreiro in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Everardo Francho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Florentino Elivareo was shown his second yellow card after 43 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. 45 minutes into the match, Los Hornos's goal looked a bit too open when Zarco Guerreiro came free, but Everardo Francho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Everardo Francho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zarco Guerreiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Opilano was the one to do the kick off. When Los Hornos's Paulo Opilano in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Carlos Ornelas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Opilano, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Yuri Sequeira made in the 57th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Los Hornos's Agustin Cesaro. After a defensive mix-up in Los Hornos's zone, Silvano Ponte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Everardo Francho came out of the goal and Silvano Ponte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 77 minutes, Zarco Guerreiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Zarco Guerreiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hermenegildo Ferraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Everardo Francho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Everardo Francho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvano Ponte in the 84th minute. A collision led to QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C. getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Silvano Ponte hit a great ball. QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
