The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Niek Molhoek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Lampa, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Benedict Peeters hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Niek Molhoek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edward Lampa's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Niek Molhoek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Niek Molhoek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Lampa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
