In the 12th minute, Horacio Manuelo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Uriel Ilazki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Fresco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uriel Ilazki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Fresco in the 21st minute of the match. The tension between the VILLA DE ALVAREZ and the ATLAS FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Galindo in the 39th minute of play forced ATLAS FC's goalkeeper Uriel Ilazki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The long shot by Gaspar Beturian in the 42nd minute really tested Cristian Ereinotz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The supporters of ATLAS FC booed when VILLA DE ALVAREZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Galindo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half VILLA DE ALVAREZ were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Horacio Manuelo to make the kick off. Leo Galindo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 59th playminute. The referee ignored VILLA DE ALVAREZ's protests and gave Anacleto Sazon a yellow card for diving instead. Leopoldo Espiridion kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 90th match minute, VILLA DE ALVAREZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everardo Macias to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Albino Galo from long distance, 93 minutes into the match, got Uriel Ilazki's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The VILLA DE ALVAREZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5.
