Manolo Curcio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cortez Cabañero having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Abel Torienzo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oilchem's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Torienzo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xzaiver Goyanes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Juan-Carlos Busquet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xzaiver Goyanes having to interfere. After having played for 27 minutes, Manolo Curcio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BARCELONA SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manolo Curcio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. BARCELONA SC's Xzaiver Goyanes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Torienzo in the 32nd minute of play. When Victorio Dragranda fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BARCELONA SC's protests and gave Victorio Dragranda a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Oilchem booed when BARCELONA SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorio Dragranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oilchem's Abel Torienzo got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xzaiver Goyanes came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Oilchem's Juan-Carlos Busquet. But to his dismay, Juan-Carlos Busquet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abel Torienzo made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Oilchem's Juan-Carlos Busquet ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Xzaiver Goyanes. Xzaiver Goyanes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. If Lucas Arizmendez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Manolo Curcio managed to get in a good position for a shot. BARCELONA SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Manolo Curcio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cortez Cabañero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Manolo Curcio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ubaldo Travieso kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Abel Torienzo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Xzaiver Goyanes, 0-3. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oilchem's goalkeeper Cortez Cabañero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 78 played minutes BARCELONA SC got a freekick which was hit by Gomez Segovia. Xzaiver Goyanes was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Abel Torienzo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Abel Torienzo really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. BARCELONA SC's Xzaiver Goyanes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save BARCELONA SC from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute, BARCELONA SC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Abel Torienzo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. BARCELONA SC's Xzaiver Goyanes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Torienzo in the 89th minute of play. After 89 minutes, Ubaldo Travieso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BARCELONA SC and the Oilchem players grew even worse after the yellow card. Oilchem's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
