LOS MANCEBOS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bento Abouza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 22 minutes into the game, LOS MANCEBOS's Pudes Canales nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Desiderio Mayorga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Pudes Canales might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Desiderio Mayorga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pudes Canales ran back to his position shaking his head. 27 minutes into the match, Al-Shaab Cultural & Sport's Eztebe Plata broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Bento Abouza came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the LOS MANCEBOS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bento Abouza couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Phelipe Trincado got free with Desiderio Mayorga in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. LOS MANCEBOS's Quintan Toraño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juanito Plaza in the 37th minute of play. Al-Shaab Cultural & Sport's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aloisio Zarraga in the 39th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Baldomiro Vijil was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LOS MANCEBOS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Al-Shaab Cultural & Sport the free kick. In the 39th minute, one of LOS MANCEBOS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for LOS MANCEBOS. Pudes Canales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desiderio Mayorga having to interfere. After 47 played minutes Al-Shaab Cultural & Sport got a freekick which was hit by Mel Iturrate. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pudes Canales to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Al-Shaab Cultural & Sport booed when LOS MANCEBOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Desiderio Mayorga came out of the goal and Bento Abouza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peruanton Berrio's late challenge caught a LOS MANCEBOS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peruanton Berrio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st match minute, Al-Shaab Cultural & Sport was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peruanton Berrio to maneuver through the defense. When LOS MANCEBOS's Pudes Canales in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
