In the 12th minute, Mouricio Hormaiztegui made a precise shot to the right of Joseba Trasmiera. Unión Canaria FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 18 minutes into the match, Unión Canaria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erasto Cardeña came free, but Joseba Trasmiera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erasto Cardeña's late challenge caught a Unión Canaria FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erasto Cardeña helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Unión Canaria FC booed when Pegoncito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasto Cardeña didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Xepe Santillion got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 29thth minute of the game Mouricio Hormaiztegui who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Unión Canaria FC's Joseba Trasmiera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Xepe Santillion managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unión Canaria FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Xepe Santillion was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erasmo Sañez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Xepe Santillion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pegoncito FC's Mouricio Hormaiztegui got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 37 played minutes Unión Canaria FC got a freekick which was hit by Millan Mendiola. Mouricio Hormaiztegui scored 0-3 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joseba Trasmiera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 42nd minute Mouricio Hormaiztegui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joseba Trasmiera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Mouricio Hormaiztegui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Miro Millera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseba Trasmiera having to interfere. Unión Canaria FC's Joseba Trasmiera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mouricio Hormaiztegui in the 46th minute of play. Joseba Trasmiera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miro Millera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Unión Canaria FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pegoncito FC were winning 0-3.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xepe Santillion in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erasmo Sañez saved Pegoncito FC from getting behind. Mouricio Hormaiztegui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Pegoncito FC's zone, Matias Cospedal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erasmo Sañez came out of the goal and Matias Cospedal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xepe Santillion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raul Flayre kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mouricio Hormaiztegui got free with Joseba Trasmiera in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had been going on for 64 minutes, Pegoncito FC's Zenon Camus got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Joseba Trasmiera. Joseba Trasmiera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miro Millera in the 67th minute of the match. Joseba Trasmiera had great luck who in the 67thth minute grab hold of the ball when Miro Millera from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Mouricio Hormaiztegui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Joseba Trasmiera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Unión Canaria FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Montrelle Herbon hit a great ball. The supporters of Pegoncito FC booed when Unión Canaria FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Montrelle Herbon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Erasto Cardeña cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Joseba Trasmiera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miro Millera got free with Joseba Trasmiera in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Joseba Trasmiera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Miro Millera came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Pegoncito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miro Millera couldn't finish the play. 93 minutes into the match, Unión Canaria FC's goalkeeper Joseba Trasmiera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miro Millera. If Mouricio Hormaiztegui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 98 minutes, Miro Millera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pegoncito FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miro Millera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Pegoncito FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
