Gotham City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Weldon Tomlinson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eliseo Schroeder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Weldon Tomlinson was the one to do the kick off. Mitchell Burgess showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Weldon Tomlinson in the 57th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the game, San francisco's Darren Ramey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reynaldo Faulkner made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. A collision led to San francisco getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Cody Navarro hit a great ball. Cody Navarro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Faulkner having to interfere. Wilfredo Clement made in the 89th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by San francisco's Eddy Titus. Rashad Blackman hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Gotham City FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
