After a defensive mix-up in Aquidavana FC's zone, Eurico Valladares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovânio Pirani came out of the goal and Eurico Valladares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 7 minutes, Albertinho Saraiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aquidavana FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albertinho Saraiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emanuel da Mata stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albertinho Saraiva's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Emanuel da Mata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Washington de Lara in the 13th minute of play. If Washington de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Aquidavana FC fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Aquidavana FC's Washington de Lara looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Washington de Lara struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Emanuel da Mata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aquidavana FC. With a little luck, Aquidavana FC's Geovânio Pirani got control of the ball when Eurico Valladares tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Washington de Lara came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Aquidavana FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Washington de Lara couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute, Humberto Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geovânio Pirani didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eurico Valladares went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cafu Rosa during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Parai getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Cafu Rosa hit a great ball. Dorival Botelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel da Mata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertinho Saraiva in the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Albertinho Saraiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel da Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Geovânio Pirani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertinho Saraiva in the 47th minute of play forced Parai's goalkeeper Emanuel da Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Parai's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Washington de Lara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Gabriel Leal struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. In the 93rd match minute, Parai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cafu Rosa to maneuver through the defense. Aquidavana FC played a much better game than Parai and deserved their victory. The Parai players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
