Tostão de Alcântara charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tostão de Alcântara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gláuber Urbano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Vinhas having to interfere. Raimundo Vinhas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gláuber Urbano went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Raimundo Vinhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto Bertassi in the 24th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eriberto Bertassi in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raimundo Vinhas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Eriberto Bertassi put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Raimundo Vinhas. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eriberto Bertassi in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raimundo Vinhas saved Cananea from getting behind. Tostão de Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the game, Gláuber Urbano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Raimundo Vinhas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 45th minute Gláuber Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Vinhas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

53 minutes into the match, Cananea's goalkeeper Raimundo Vinhas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gláuber Urbano. In the 54th minute, Gláuber Urbano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gláuber Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gláuber Urbano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Vinhas having to interfere. With a little luck, Cananea's Raimundo Vinhas got control of the ball when Gláuber Urbano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Portugal SC played a much better game than Cananea and deserved their victory. The Cananea players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
