After having played for 13 minutes, Enio Brodel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SER SETE DE SETEMBRO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enio Brodel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Sílvio Luís Magalhães had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan Gleba. SER SETE DE SETEMBRO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sílvio Luís Magalhães was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. SER SETE DE SETEMBRO's Jan Gleba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duda Andrade in the 24th minute of play. In the 27th match minute, Carmopolis FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paulo Passos to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the game, José Carlos Pires was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carmopolis FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SER SETE DE SETEMBRO the free kick. After 36 minutes of play, Carmopolis FC's José Carlos Pires made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 39th minute, Enio Brodel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. João Paulo Passos hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Toledo in the 44th minute of play forced Carmopolis FC's goalkeeper Cléber Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enio Brodel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Cléber Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Enio Brodel in the 67th minute of play forced Carmopolis FC's goalkeeper Cléber Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cléber Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the game, SER SETE DE SETEMBRO's Enio Brodel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cléber Baptista made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. After having played for 76 minutes, Enio Brodel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SER SETE DE SETEMBRO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enio Brodel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Enio Brodel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléber Baptista having to interfere. Jan Gleba made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Marinho in the 80th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Marinho got free with Jan Gleba in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Enio Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carmopolis FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over SER SETE DE SETEMBRO's much stronger midfield.
