Yuri Mesquita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Wilson Dantas made a huge save. Guto Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jefferson Loureiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Wilson Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ismael Varela made a kick off. Orion FC's Jefferson Loureiro got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 1-0 became the score in the 59th minute when Isaltino Pombal elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Jefferson Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Guto Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guto Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute of the match, Jefferson Loureiro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Guto Guimarães was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 73rd minute, Scorpion's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jefferson Loureiro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 80 minutes, Lucas Freitas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Orion FC and the Scorpion players grew even worse after the yellow card. Yuri Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ismael Varela came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Orion FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ismael Varela couldn't finish the play. After having played for 92 minutes, Jefferson Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Orion FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jefferson Loureiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ismael Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guto Guimarães having to interfere. The Scorpion players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
