The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frank Penha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Jaime de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hermínio Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Paraibano having to interfere. Manoel Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermínio Freire in the 23rd minute of play. After having played for 24 minutes, Gernando Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. HOPE FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gernando Velasco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frank Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime de Lara in the 28th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, HOPE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Ramos came free, but Frank Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aírton Donato hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Frank Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Haroldo Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Jaime de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. César Aparecido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in AC Poker's zone, Hermínio Freire stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manoel Paraibano came out of the goal and Hermínio Freire tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

When Jaime de Lara came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the AC Poker fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime de Lara couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Frank Penha successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 56th minute, Ismael Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AC Poker's Jaime de Lara came free and shot a quick shot against goal 60 minutes in the game, fortunately Frank Penha had problems saving as it came toward the left post. HOPE FC's Frank Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Ramos in the 63rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Conrado Paraíba during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Agenor Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of AC Poker booed when HOPE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Paraíba didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute Gernando Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manoel Paraibano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Haroldo Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime de Lara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over AC Poker could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than HOPE FC throughout the match.
