With a little luck, Filipe's Dorival dos Santos got control of the ball when Edvaldo Maranhense tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 9 minutes of play, Filipe's Luiz Fábio Paranaense made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abdelaziz Kornrumpf was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jacek Smolarek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorival dos Santos having to interfere. Edvaldo Maranhense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Dorival dos Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Passos FC's Edvaldo Maranhense got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Filipe's Hamílton Brito got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abdelaziz Kornrumpf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fábio Paranaense in the 22nd minute of the match. When Edvaldo Maranhense came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Passos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edvaldo Maranhense couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Passos FC booed when Filipe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doni Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27thth minute of the game Edvaldo Maranhense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Filipe's Dorival dos Santos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luiz Fábio Paranaense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abdelaziz Kornrumpf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Paranaense, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Doni Antunes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Abdelaziz Kornrumpf. Passos FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edvaldo Maranhense in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dorival dos Santos saved Filipe from getting behind. Raúl Trancoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filipe's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Edvaldo Maranhense 40 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. When Jacek Smolarek came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Passos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacek Smolarek couldn't finish the play. Dorival dos Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvaldo Maranhense, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Jacek Smolarek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Passos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacek Smolarek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dorival dos Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hamílton Brito to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvaldo Maranhense in the 52nd minute of play forced Filipe's goalkeeper Dorival dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Fábio Paranaense succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 58th playminute. The supporters of Passos FC booed when Filipe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chicão Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dorival dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edvaldo Maranhense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Raúl Trancoso came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Passos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raúl Trancoso couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Passos FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Raúl Trancoso hit a great ball. When Edvaldo Maranhense came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Passos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edvaldo Maranhense couldn't finish the play. Oscar Barreto kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Passos FC's Abdelaziz Kornrumpf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamílton Brito in the 85th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Passos FC's zone, Luiz Fábio Paranaense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdelaziz Kornrumpf came out of the goal and Luiz Fábio Paranaense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 96 minutes of play, Passos FC's Jacek Smolarek made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dorival dos Santos was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Filipe players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Passos FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
