After 19 minutes of play, Faisca's Mário Messias made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Pedro Sá made in the 72nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Vitório Barreto immediately put the ball in play. Faisca's Dino Alvarenga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egídio da Mata in the 82nd minute of play. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Faisca to win.
