Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Chiquinho Lopez kicked off to start the match. Sydney Galvão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afonso Zanette read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Clube Atlético Mineiro's Afonso Zanette played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sydney Galvão in the 13th minute of play. After some careless play in the Cateto SC defense, Nilmar Koehler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anderson Toscano. The Cateto SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anderson Toscano should have stopped the shot. In the 24thth minute of the game Sydney Galvão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clube Atlético Mineiro's Afonso Zanette was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nilmar Koehler kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Sydney Galvão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Afonso Zanette tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 29 played minutes Clube Atlético Mineiro got a freekick which was hit by Romário Montenegro. When Sydney Galvão came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Cateto SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sydney Galvão couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Fabiano Netto during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luís Fabiano Netto hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 34thth minute of the game Chiquinho Lopez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cateto SC's Anderson Toscano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Afonso Zanette showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrício Neves in the 35th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Sydney Galvão made the kick off in the second half. Fabrício Neves was extremely unlucky when he, in the 54th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Sydney Galvão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afonso Zanette read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romário Montenegro during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Clube Atlético Mineiro getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Romário Montenegro hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Clube Atlético Mineiro's zone, Fabrício Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Zanette came out of the goal and Fabrício Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 64 minutes into the match, Clube Atlético Mineiro's Nilmar Koehler sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anderson Toscano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Nilmar Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chiquinho Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso Zanette made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Hugo do Vale sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sydney Galvão in the 80th minute of play forced Clube Atlético Mineiro's goalkeeper Afonso Zanette to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sydney Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Zanette having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Cateto SC's Sydney Galvão slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Afonso Zanette. That made the score 1-2 after 93 minutes of play. When the match was over Cateto SC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Clube Atlético Mineiro throughout the match.
