The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Tostão Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Afonso Zanette made a huge save. When the referee blew the final whistle, Clube Atlético Mineiro could leave the field as winners, despite Alvenápolis F.C. having more of the ball for most of the match.
