The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 13th minute, Armandinho Tinoco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joonatan Engelberchs was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 17 minutes into the match, Time de Futebol's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Söderquist came free, but Miguel da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Edson Paraibano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joonatan Engelberchs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th match minute, Ripway Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel-Benjamin Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. After 30 played minutes Time de Futebol got a freekick which was hit by Cristóvão de Souza. In the 33rd match minute, Ripway Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Söderquist to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Ripway Futebol Clube's zone, Armandinho Tinoco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joonatan Engelberchs came out of the goal and Armandinho Tinoco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Edson Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armandinho Tinoco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joonatan Engelberchs read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Edson Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Time de Futebol were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dito Moraes to strike the kick off in the second half. Time de Futebol's Miguel da Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dito Moraes in the 53rd minute of play. Joonatan Engelberchs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armandinho Tinoco in the 58th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ripway Futebol Clube's Gonçalo Santos got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 63rd minute, Dito Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benê Alagoano in the 66th minute of play forced Time de Futebol's goalkeeper Miguel da Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lino Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joonatan Engelberchs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armandinho Tinoco in the 78th minute of the match. Edson Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joonatan Engelberchs having to interfere. The supporters of Time de Futebol booed when Ripway Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonçalo Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Time de Futebol eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
