José Carlos Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Rodolfo Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodolfo Moraes didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 11th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Cesinha Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Nóbrega having to interfere. José Carlos Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Moraes having to interfere. If Cesinha Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Malhadas FC's Rodolfo Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Carlos Tinoco in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute, Malhadas FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ramón da Cunha fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Dário Nóbrega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesinha Alcântara in the 37th minute of play. Cipriano Leite was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 39 minutes into the match. 39 minutes into the game, one of Moleques AD:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When Cesinha Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Malhadas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesinha Alcântara couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ramón da Cunha made a kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Cesinha Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malhadas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesinha Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ramón da Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Moraes having to interfere. If Jonathan Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute Sidnei Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dário Nóbrega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ramón da Cunha came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Moleques AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramón da Cunha couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Nando Campidelis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moleques AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Nando Campidelis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 74th minute, Cesinha Alcântara fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 81 played minutes Moleques AD got a freekick which was hit by Nando Campidelis. Vito Ribeiro's late challenge caught a Moleques AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vito Ribeiro helped the player get up and apologised. Vito Ribeiro hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute Nestor Bastos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Moleques AD's goal looked a bit too open when Cesinha Alcântara came free, but Dário Nóbrega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Malhadas FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Moleques AD from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
