Rafa Bittencourt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vágner Pontes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafa Bittencourt in the 10th minute of play forced Babyon FC's goalkeeper Vágner Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Babyon FC's Vágner Pontes got control of the ball when Rafa Bittencourt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Otávio Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After having played for 20 minutes, Otávio Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Babyon FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otávio Valle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Virgílio Favoretto might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vágner Pontes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Virgílio Favoretto ran back to his position shaking his head. Virgílio Favoretto in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vágner Pontes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rafa Bittencourt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Vágner Pontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rafa Bittencourt made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Virgílio Favoretto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vágner Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Virgílio Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgílio Favoretto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Vágner Pontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the game, Virgílio Favoretto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Vágner Pontes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mamanguape's Virgílio Favoretto got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Virgílio Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vágner Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgílio Favoretto, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Vágner Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafa Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafa Bittencourt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Vágner Pontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Babyon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Virgílio Favoretto came free, but Vágner Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafa Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85thth minute of the game Virgílio Favoretto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Babyon FC's Vágner Pontes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rafa Bittencourt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 87 minutes into the game, Mamanguape's Virgílio Favoretto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vágner Pontes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Rafa Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vágner Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Fernando Brodel in the 93rd minute of play. Rafa Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Rafa Bittencourt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vágner Pontes was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. There was no doubt that Mamanguape were the better team. Mamanguape's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
