Paulo José Bezerra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Alves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Paulo José Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alves having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Corrêa in the 21st minute of play forced Rapador AD's goalkeeper Carlos Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Zézinho Corrêa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valério Barral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valério Barral in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tadeu Teixeira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Paulo José Bezerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo José Bezerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Rapador AD's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo José Bezerra came free, but Carlos Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mackenzie College FC's Tadeu Teixeira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Mackenzie College FC from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Umberto do Nascimento in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tadeu Teixeira saved Mackenzie College FC from getting behind. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Guilherme Xavier charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guilherme Xavier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Rapador AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 69th match minute, Mackenzie College FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vivaldo Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Rapador AD's Guilherme Xavier got a free kick in the 71st minute. Carlos Alves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo José Bezerra in the 74th minute. Umberto do Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeu Teixeira having to interfere. Mackenzie College FC's Cícero Vale got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zézinho Corrêa in the 85th minute of the match. Paulo José Bezerra struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Carlos Alves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mackenzie College FC. In the 94th minute of the match Zézinho Cardozo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tadeu Teixeira skillfully saved the ball.
