After a rather tough play, Salchibegows FC's Edu Ribeiro got a free kick in the 4th minute. Danilo Quirino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oséas Novaes hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. If Umberto do Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edvaldo Viana's late challenge caught a Rapador AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edvaldo Viana helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Salchibegows FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Edvaldo Viana hit a great ball. If Oscar Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Oséas Novaes fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rapador AD's protests and gave Oséas Novaes a yellow card for diving instead. Carlos Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clemente Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oséas Novaes got free with José Paulo Gonçalves in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 26 minutes into the game, Valério Barral cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. José Paulo Gonçalves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 29 played minutes Salchibegows FC got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo de Amorim. Danilo Quirino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but José Paulo Gonçalves made a huge save. Salchibegows FC's José Paulo Gonçalves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Salchibegows FC from getting a goal against them. When Salchibegows FC's Oscar Simão in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rapador AD's goalie prevented a goal. José Paulo Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Umberto do Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valério Barral succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 46th playminute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ramiro Ferreira was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 53 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Salchibegows FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! José Paulo Gonçalves had in the 55thth minute some difficulties stopping Danilo Quirino's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a rather tough play, Salchibegows FC's Edvaldo Viana got a free kick in the 59th minute. Décio Hames hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Umberto do Nascimento in the 65th minute of play forced Salchibegows FC's goalkeeper José Paulo Gonçalves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Rapador AD's Oséas Novaes got a free kick in the 66th minute. Carlos Alves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oscar Simão's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Salchibegows FC's zone, Umberto do Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Paulo Gonçalves came out of the goal and Umberto do Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oscar Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute Oscar Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Umberto do Nascimento's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Paulo Gonçalves was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. 92 minutes into the match, Salchibegows FC's goal looked a bit too open when Valério Barral came free, but José Paulo Gonçalves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Salchibegows FC defense, Umberto do Nascimento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Paulo Gonçalves. The Salchibegows FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Paulo Gonçalves should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Rapador AD fans cheered their team off the field, for while Salchibegows FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
