Luizinho Queirós came out of the goal and Toninho Esteves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Yuri de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Linares in the 40th minute of play forced Batelao's goalkeeper Luizinho Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernandinho Arruda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jailson Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Toninho Esteves made a kick off. Fernandinho Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Valle having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Batelao's goalkeeper Luizinho Queirós had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yuri de Queirós. Tuparecetan's Yuri de Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yuri de Queirós got free with Luizinho Queirós in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luizinho Queirós made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Yuri de Queirós sent off a good shot on target. If Fernandinho Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
