After a rather tough play, ERINIA MZC's Sandrinho Toscano got a free kick in the 8th minute. The supporters of GALAXY RANGERS booed when ERINIA MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandrinho Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the match, GALAXY RANGERS's Anísio Vasconcelos broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 14th minute, Zeca Vieira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durval Trigo in the 17th minute of play forced ERINIA MZC's goalkeeper Arthur de Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to ERINIA MZC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. João Paulo Nóbrega hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Arnaldo Martins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anísio Vasconcelos in the 21st minute of play forced ERINIA MZC's goalkeeper Arthur de Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, GALAXY RANGERS's Durval Trigo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arthur de Castro. Arthur de Castro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 27th minute, Ulisses Melo made a precise shot to the right of Ronaldinho da Cunha. GALAXY RANGERS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 30th minute, Anísio Vasconcelos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arthur de Castro. The goal made the score 2-1. In the 34th match minute, ERINIA MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovanni Matorin to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute, Arnaldo Martins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arthur de Castro was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After a rather tough play, GALAXY RANGERS's Júlio Valadares got a free kick in the 40th minute. Ronaldinho da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandrinho Toscano in the 41st minute of the match. A collision led to ERINIA MZC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Jonas Prado hit a great ball. Arnaldo Martins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Arthur de Castro made a huge save. In the 46th match minute, ERINIA MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aírton Quadros to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ulisses Melo made a kick off. After 51 played minutes ERINIA MZC got a freekick which was hit by Geovanni Matorin. After having played for 52 minutes, Arnaldo Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GALAXY RANGERS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnaldo Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 52 played minutes ERINIA MZC got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Prado. Arthur de Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durval Trigo in the 53rd minute of play. If Júlio Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 57 minutes into the game, GALAXY RANGERS's Anísio Vasconcelos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arthur de Castro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. After some careless play in the ERINIA MZC defense, Júlio Valadares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arthur de Castro. The ERINIA MZC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arthur de Castro should have stopped the shot. After 70 minutes of play, GALAXY RANGERS's Arnaldo Martins made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arthur de Castro was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in ERINIA MZC's zone, Júlio Valadares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arthur de Castro came out of the goal and Júlio Valadares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. GALAXY RANGERS's Anísio Vasconcelos got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arthur de Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 85 minutes of play, GALAXY RANGERS's Júlio Valadares made it 8-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arthur de Castro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 91st match minute, GALAXY RANGERS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederico Paulista to maneuver through the defense. GALAXY RANGERS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
