The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Carolo Mitxel kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 39 minutes into the game, Carolo Mitxel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oriente AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave villa mitre la ciudad the free kick. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abel Etxeberri made a kick off. When Generoso Orlandus fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oriente AFC's protests and gave Generoso Orlandus a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th minute, Generoso Orlandus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the match, villa mitre la ciudad's goal looked a bit too open when Anibal Aritza came free, but Leopoldo Llorenc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
