The audience was convinced that Leonardo Udalaitz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucas Abilio was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Gervasio Colon put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Fernan Maiorga. The crowd rose to their feet as Ledesma's Gervasio Colon slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fernan Maiorga. That made the score 0-3 after 60 minutes of play. Ledesma's Anastasio Rio got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ariel Hug had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonardo Udalaitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marco Gabrio kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Gervasio Colon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernan Maiorga having to interfere. In the 76th minute Gervasio Colon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernan Maiorga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
