With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niceto Frederico prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Niceto Frederico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paolo Betadur's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Pichincha FC's zone, Basílio Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niceto Frederico came out of the goal and Basílio Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Basílio Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Pichincha FC's Melchor Osmundo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Moises Sayveon. That made the score 1-0 after 26 minutes of play. Niceto Frederico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paolo Betadur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moises Sayveon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alberdi AFC's Moises Sayveon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melchor Osmundo in the 75th minute of play. Moises Sayveon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Tajo in the 77th minute of the match.
