The supporters of Pichincha FC booed when Sepulturas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaudencio Sanduru didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amado Pitin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 52nd minute by Constantino Berdoi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Niceto Frederico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Pitin in the 57th minute of play. In the 61st minute Miguel Tajo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Sidoro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdemar Erserman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 97 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pichincha FC! After 99 played minutes Pichincha FC got a freekick which was hit by Dario Mendiko. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
