Eduardo Quinito started the match with the kick off. Celedonio Nerio struck a weak shot in the 2nd minute. Lauaxeta Candelo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Acosta. Celedonio Nerio hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Dionisio Afonso charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dionisio Afonso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lauaxeta Candelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Quinito, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. A collision led to Espeleta AFC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Alejo Jaen hit a great ball. After 16th play minutes Eduardo Quinito shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Lauaxeta Candelo and just under the crossbar into goal. After a defensive mix-up in Espeleta AFC's zone, Eduardo Quinito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lauaxeta Candelo came out of the goal and Eduardo Quinito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lauaxeta Candelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Quinito in the 21st minute of play. In the 29th minute, Celedonio Nerio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Eduardo Quinito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lauaxeta Candelo was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. 35 minutes into the match, Acosta's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Lehoi came free, but Isaac Vedillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Espeleta AFC booed when Acosta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Garin didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Lehoi in the 39th minute of play forced Acosta's goalkeeper Isaac Vedillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eduardo Quinito was extremely unlucky when he, in the 45th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Isaias Errapel kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Espeleta AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingos Lehoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th match minute, Acosta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celedonio Nerio to maneuver through the defense. Isaac Vedillo made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Domingos Lehoi sent off a good shot on target. Lauaxeta Candelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celedonio Nerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lauaxeta Candelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celedonio Nerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 92nd minute, but Isaac Vedillo got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Acosta hanging dry this time. Espeleta AFC played a much better game than Acosta and deserved their victory. The Acosta players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
