In the 21st minute, Edgardo Hotz sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and San Martin Azulgrana's Nemesio Bidari didn't even have to move. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuel Mitxel in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nemesio Bidari saved San Martin Azulgrana from getting behind. A collision led to San Martin Azulgrana getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Gogo Arano hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, San Martin Azulgrana's Lorenzo Ourente got a free kick in the 35th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mateo Fagondo got free with Nemesio Bidari in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Emanuel Mitxel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nemesio Bidari came out of the goal and Mateo Fagondo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lorenzo Ourente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocencio Veto having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Baristo in the 53rd minute of play forced Los Ferrocarrileros FC's goalkeeper Inocencio Veto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lorenzo Ourente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
