With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hilario Austin in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baltasar Hermelando saved Mataldi from getting behind. When Robles's Hilario Austin in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mataldi's goalie prevented a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Hilario Austin got free with Baltasar Hermelando in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Domingos Burni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mataldi's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingos Burni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacinto Platon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Domingos Burni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacinto Platon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Petri, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Marcos Petri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baltasar Hermelando was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Lorenzo Fagondo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lorenzo Fagondo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. If Hilario Austin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Robles's goalkeeper Jacinto Platon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baltasar Hermelando made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Hilario Austin sent off a good shot on target.
