The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Guaberto Theobald got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Calmucó's Flavio Rio got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santos Esdras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guaberto Theobald in the 10th minute of the match. Santos Esdras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guaberto Theobald in the 20th minute of play. Calmucó's Sebastian Tulio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Calmucó from getting a goal against them. 22 minutes into the match, Dario Telo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sebastian Tulio, 1-0. When Amador Austin fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored EstaciónMazán AFC's protests and gave Amador Austin a yellow card for diving instead. Amador Austin kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Flavio Rio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Esdras having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, EstaciónMazán AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Rio came free, but Santos Esdras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Calmucó's Domingos Erasto got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dario Telo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Sebastian Tulio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Calmucó's Guaberto Theobald in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye EstaciónMazán AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Dante Bizen hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guaberto Theobald in the 43rd minute of play forced EstaciónMazán AFC's goalkeeper Santos Esdras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amador Austin was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Calmucó's Domingos Erasto got a free kick in the 53rd minute. When Dario Telo came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the EstaciónMazán AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dario Telo couldn't finish the play. In the 61st minute, Augusto Gergori hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Calmucó's zone, Dario Telo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastian Tulio came out of the goal and Dario Telo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Calmucó's Guaberto Theobald got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Flavio Rio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 76 minutes, Domingos Erasto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Calmucó and the EstaciónMazán AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Domingos Erasto kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. A collision led to EstaciónMazán AFC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Silvestre Mateo hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guaberto Theobald in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santos Esdras prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Santos Esdras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guaberto Theobald in the 86th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Guaberto Theobald managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calmucó's supporters rose to their feet, but Guaberto Theobald was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santos Esdras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 90 minutes into the match, EstaciónMazán AFC's Amador Austin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sebastian Tulio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Amador Austin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sebastian Tulio was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Calmucó players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for EstaciónMazán AFC.
