Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valentin Bidari was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Ferrocarril Sud de Tandil's zone, Reynaldo Hernandez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angel Rainerio came out of the goal and Reynaldo Hernandez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valentin Bidari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Valentin Bidari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 62 minutes, Valentin Bidari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Viamonte FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valentin Bidari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Angel Rainerio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Valentin Bidari showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 67 minute of play. 73 minutes into the game, Edelmiro Procopio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Marcelino Etxepare was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
