The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Teofilo Carlomagno the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Relmo AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Teofilo Carlomagno had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Relmo AFC's Teofilo Carlomagno got a free kick in the 5th minute. The audience held their breath when Kauldi Cebadilla in the 6th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Cristo Txomin's left hand side. Amadeo Vincente charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amadeo Vincente the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 14 minutes into the match, Relmo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernan Cordarell came free, but Cristo Txomin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Relmo AFC's Cristo Txomin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Manuelo in the 16th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Relmo AFC's Jose Niva got a free kick in the 19th minute. Marcial Manuelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Cristo Txomin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd match minute, Relmo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fulgencio Valery to maneuver through the defense. Cristo Txomin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernan Cordarell in the 35th minute of the match. Luján's Adam Zaremba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genaro Victoro in the 41st minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernan Cordarell was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Relmo AFC's zone, Marcial Manuelo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristo Txomin came out of the goal and Marcial Manuelo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristo Txomin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregorio Orkatz in the 60th minute of play. Joaquin Firme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernan Cordarell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Cristo Txomin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Julio Jobo during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th minute, Julio Jobo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernan Cordarell in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristo Txomin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gregorio Orkatz's late challenge caught a Relmo AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gregorio Orkatz helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Luján's Gregorio Orkatz got a free kick in the 76th minute. The audience was convinced that Fernan Cordarell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristo Txomin was relentless in the 81st minute of the game.
