BK Merzog's Frans Flink got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hans Sander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Hansson having to interfere. In the 11th minute, one of Benknäckarna:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Benknäckarna. Ivar Thidén shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Jan Kjellqvist didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when BK Merzog's Frans Flink shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. After having played for 19 minutes, Hans Sander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Benknäckarna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hans Sander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Benknäckarna's Svante Helström got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Benknäckarna's goalkeeper Jan Kjellqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marc Duset recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of BK Merzog booed when Benknäckarna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Svante Helström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, Alfred Koch got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alfred Koch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute Frans Flink shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Kjellqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Benknäckarna defense, Frans Flink kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Kjellqvist. The Benknäckarna fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Kjellqvist should have stopped the shot. 46 minutes into the match, BK Merzog's Alfred Koch sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan Kjellqvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Svante Helström charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Svante Helström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Benknäckarna's Svante Helström got a free kick in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 54th minute, Arne Ekström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charles Ekberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Adam Hansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Hans Sander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adam Hansson. BK Merzog's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hans Sander was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Adam Hansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans Sander in the 67th minute of the match. Charles Ekberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Hansson having to interfere. Benknäckarna's Jan Kjellqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Benknäckarna from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Charles Ekberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adam Hansson was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Frans Flink sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Svante Helström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Frans Flink had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfred Koch came free with the goalkeeper in the 82nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jan Kjellqvist could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in BK Merzog's zone, Charles Ekberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adam Hansson came out of the goal and Charles Ekberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Benknäckarna's Jan Kjellqvist got control of the ball when Alfred Koch tried to sneak it across the goal line. Malcolm Ahlrot kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Frans Flink sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Svante Helström kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Alfred Koch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Jan Kjellqvist made a huge save. Jan Kjellqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfred Koch in the 94th minute. When BK Merzog's Frans Flink in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Benknäckarna's goalie prevented a goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. BK Merzog walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
