The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Stefan Hääger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Greger Alberg having to interfere. Vincent Åström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaj Ivarsson in the 17th minute of play. When Åmål's Christian Hjelm in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fakrej's goalie prevented a goal. Stefan Hääger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vincent Åström made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Hampus Skröder sent off a good shot on target. In the 31st minute Kaj Ivarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincent Åström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vincent Åström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaj Ivarsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. A collision led to Åmål getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Per-Åke Vester hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Åmål's goal looked a bit too open when Kaj Ivarsson came free, but Vincent Åström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hampus Skröder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Vincent Åström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 40 minutes, Evert Wennerqvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åmål and the Fakrej players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Åmål! After 48 minutes of play, Fakrej's Hampus Skröder made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vincent Åström was left in no man's land by his defense there!

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kaj Ivarsson made a kick off. With a little luck, Fakrej's Greger Alberg got control of the ball when Christian Hjelm tried to sneak it across the goal line. Christian Hjelm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th match minute, Åmål was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Hääger to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 66 minutes, Hampus Skröder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fakrej's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hampus Skröder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ulf Fagrell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Greger Alberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hampus Skröder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Greger Alberg was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Stefan Hääger capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Stefan Hääger really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. 92 minutes into the match, Fakrej's Kaj Ivarsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vincent Åström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 94th minute Hampus Skröder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincent Åström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fakrej's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
