The supporters of Mjällby AIF booed when Ölmbrotorp Sportklubb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viktor Stensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adam Haström made in the 28th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ingvar Ek. Vilhelm Ahlroht took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Sundberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harry Sundberg in the 45th minute of play forced Ölmbrotorp Sportklubb's goalkeeper Vilhelm Ahlroht to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ingvar Ek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vilhelm Ahlroht having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ingvar Ek was the one to do the kick off. Vilhelm Ahlroht showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Ek in the 54th minute of the match. After 61 minutes, Magne Johnsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mjällby AIF and the Ölmbrotorp Sportklubb players grew even worse after the yellow card. 68 minutes into the game, Gunnar Stabbe recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vilhelm Ahlroht. Gunnar Stabbe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 72nd match minute, Mjällby AIF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesper Smitt to maneuver through the defense. Vilhelm Ahlroht showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Ek in the 75th minute of the match. Vilhelm Alberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gert Abrahamsson having to interfere. If Harry Sundberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harry Sundberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Vilhelm Ahlroht when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Ölmbrotorp Sportklubb's zone, Ingvar Ek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vilhelm Ahlroht came out of the goal and Ingvar Ek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle went the supporters of Mjällby AIF were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Ölmbrotorp Sportklubb side.
