Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Linköping FC's Hans Helberg started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans Helberg in the 4th minute of play forced Elva Edsvurna Män BK's goalkeeper Jack Gernberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rune Mickelsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustav Bergman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ove Sjöö fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Mickelsson having to interfere. Jack Gernberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans Helberg in the 15th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Gustav Bergman put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rune Mickelsson. Nils Kruuse came free with the goalkeeper in the 28th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jack Gernberg could save by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Einar Alström during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nils Kruuses short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Jack Gernberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 32 minutes of play Elva Edsvurna Män BK's Einar Alström was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 33rd match minute, Elva Edsvurna Män BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Einar Alström to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Gustav Bergman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Elva Edsvurna Män BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Ove Sjöö fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Mickelsson having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Linköping FC's Henric Arenius got a free kick in the 44th minute. After the first half Elva Edsvurna Män BK were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gustav Bergman to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Linköping FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Oscar Uggla hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils Kruuse in the 56th minute of play forced Elva Edsvurna Män BK's goalkeeper Jack Gernberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ove Sjöö hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After 60th play minutes Gustav Bergman shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Rune Mickelsson and just under the crossbar into goal. Rune Mickelsson made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Gustav Bergman sent off a good shot on target. Elva Edsvurna Män BK's Jack Gernberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils Kruuse in the 64th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Elva Edsvurna Män BK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Linköping FC:s goal. When Ove Sjöö came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Elva Edsvurna Män BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ove Sjöö couldn't finish the play. Viktor Larsson kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Ove Sjöö might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rune Mickelsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ove Sjöö ran back to his position shaking his head. Elva Edsvurna Män BK's Jack Gernberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils Kruuse in the 91st minute of play.
