Edgar Tokarczyk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barnaba Zawadzki in the 3rd minute. After 8 played minutes Widzew Łódź got a freekick which was hit by Waclaw Andrysiak. After 8 played minutes, Jakubow SA's Marian Percha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gilbert Mochowak came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jakubow SA reached it. Wincent Bielecki lost his temper 16 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of Jakubow SA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Widzew Łódź:s goal. After 17 minutes Jakubow SA's goalkeeper Edgar Tokarczyk managed, with a little bit of luck, save Jan Hoffman's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Jan Hoffman took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Edgar Tokarczyk to make any attempt to save it. Marian Percha's late challenge caught a Widzew Łódź's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marian Percha helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st minute, Marian Percha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barnaba Zawadzki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Edgar Tokarczyk made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Barnaba Zawadzki got free with Edgar Tokarczyk in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28th minute, Arnoldo Cabezas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilbert Mochowak was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Jakubow SA's Edgar Tokarczyk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Jakubow SA from getting a goal against them. Barnaba Zawadzki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Tokarczyk having to interfere. Jakubow SA's Arnoldo Cabezas got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edgar Tokarczyk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaroslaw Lewkowicz in the 46th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 48 minutes, Edgar Tokarczyk successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andrzej Piekarczyk to make the kick off. Edgar Tokarczyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barnaba Zawadzki in the 53rd minute of the match. Edgar Tokarczyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roland Czajkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Jakubow SA defense, Barnaba Zawadzki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgar Tokarczyk. The Jakubow SA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgar Tokarczyk should have stopped the shot. 64 minutes into the game, Widzew Łódź's Krzysztof Domin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgar Tokarczyk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Andrzej Piekarczyk put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Gilbert Mochowak. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
