The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Dobromir Grondzki came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Acid Drinkers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dobromir Grondzki couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dobromir Grondzki in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zenon Barowicz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Acid Drinkers's Tolek Jaroszewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Róbson Neves in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Potion Drinkers's Zbyszko Kornecki seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Zbyszko Kornecki the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Potion Drinkers protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Zbyszko Kornecki had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Zenon Barowicz had in the 11thth minute some difficulties stopping Przemyslaw Sobania's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 13 minutes into the game, Acid Drinkers's Luis Gaspard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zenon Barowicz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 20 minutes into the match, Potion Drinkers's goal looked a bit too open when Dobromir Grondzki came free, but Zenon Barowicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Potion Drinkers's Bartlomiej Hyska got a free kick in the 31st minute. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Potion Drinkers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Przemyslaw Sobania was slow to take the kick. During this time Acid Drinkers's players had a chance to rest. Grzegorz Chrobak's late challenge caught a Potion Drinkers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Grzegorz Chrobak helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd minute, Grzegorz Chrobak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zenon Barowicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Gaspard in the 46th minute of the match. Luis Gaspard made a great header on Acid Drinkers's corner, it was just that Potion Drinkers's Zenon Barowicz managed to reach the ball for a save.
The wind increased when Guillermo Waechter made the kick off in the second half. The tension between the Potion Drinkers and the Acid Drinkers players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bogdan Pilsudski kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dobromir Grondzki got free with Zenon Barowicz in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
